7th Day of Advent

Well! Today there was a bit of a fight over who's turn it was to open the train! Donald knew it was his turn, I knew it was Donald's turn, but for some reason Joy had it stuck in her head that it was her turn and even though I let Donald open it since it IS his turn she was in quite a bad mood for most of the morning insisting it was her turn. It's definitely her turn tomorrow though so hopefully she will be happy then! Donald opened the box to reveal 3 sweets and our fun activity:

Read Santa Bearclaws Checking it Once and Decorate our home.

First thing first, I switched off the TV. Santa Bearclaws Checking it once is a book Donald and Joy got a few years ago for christmas from my friend Krystal, I reminded them of this before I started reading it to them. The 3 of them sat together on the couch and listened to the story about the elf who had had enough of checking it twice after years and years of checking it twice and finding no mistakes. except this time santa bearclaus only checked it once and there WAS a mistake!

After the book I pulled out all the decorations and we got to work! Teo helped put up the Piggins, we have 15 christmas piggins in total!

Joy helped to hang up the snowflakes we made the other day and Donald took this photo.

Donald also helped to hang snowflakes but he was terrified!
Our living room looks very festive now!

So it was time to decorate the bedroms! We put some Tinsel around Donalds bed...

and we hung some paper chains above his window, On his window we put a light up merry christmas sign, and on his window ledge is a tiny white christmas tree. We even hung some pictures he drew on his wall.

Joy got some Tinsel around her bed too.

and on her window there is some star lights, a christmas tree picture, and a santa claus picture. On her window ledge is a little robin ornament with JOY on the bottom. Donald even drew her a picture to hang above her bed.

To finish off I stuck a 'scrooge lives here' sign on our front door. Our home is wonderfully decorated for christmas now!
