Joy opened our train today and revealed our special activity:
Decorate our stockings and read 'Tickly Christmas Wibbly Pig'
I made a mistake with this one. I let them use paint, It seemed like a good idea at the time as all things do. It was paint pens actually I told them to just draw like you're using a pen, Do Not Squeeze! Joy was the first to ignore my simple request and squeezed pink paint everywhere! As I expected it would, it seeped right through. While I was dealing with that mess Donald squeezed the yellow *sigh* I took the paint away and left them to dry, Later I got out the festive foam stickers and told them to decorate with those instead.
I Have a Stocking for Teo from last year so I just hung it on his cot, he didn't need to decorate it.
I guess he wanted too though because he ended up helping his sister!
Donald made a snowy scene on his stocking, Reindeer pulling santas sleigh!
Joy stuck on letters to spell her name, and nearly every type of festive sticker we had.
Teo didn't want to be left out even though he didn't have his own stocking to hold he wanted to have his photo taken with his brother and sister.
It's only fair, he did help Joy after all!
Donalds was hung above his bed
But Joy already had a christmas picture above her bed so We hung hers near her door.
Now all that's left to do is read 'Tickly Christmas Wibbly Pig' but I'm saving that for bedtime! I adore this story! Great Aunt Larlie has bought lots of balls of wool and Wibbly Pig thinks back to all the tickly christmas gifts he has had from great aunt Larlie in the past He wonders what tickly gift she could be making him this year. It's a wonderful story with a wonderful surprise at the end, I'm looking forward to sharing this story at bedtime!
