16th day of Advent

Well it seems everytime it is Donalds turn to open the train, Joy thinks it is hers I wonder if we can get to Christmas with one day that Joy understands it is Donalds turn.

Our activity today was:

Make Christmas Decorations With Our Home School Friends!

This was the best activity because I didn't have to do any of the planning or organizing! in fact I got to sit down and make decorations too!

Enough about me though, the advent activities are all about the kids! They were eager to get started making decorations today!

The first decoration was a cone shaped christmas character. everyone got busy!

Even Daddy helped!

Joy chose to do an angel!

I love that she put a cross on the angels dress!

Donald chose to make a reindeer!

They both look really great!

There were lots of other decorations! our friends made Trees, Snowmen, and Elves, but nobody made the santa it was terribly sad.

Later most of the kids seemed to disappear and the adults were sitting around the table making decorations!

This was the next decoration we did, I'm really not sure how to describe it except that we stuck lots of sparkly things onto a clear sticker then covered it with another clear sticker and hung it on the window! it was so beautiful!

Mines was the one second from the left. I made a tree! Donalds and Joys were on the bottom half of the window but you can't really make them out in this picture.

I am really pleased with the results of todays activity, I knew we were going to make christmas decorations today but other than that I had no idea what to expect, I was certainly surprised by the types of decorations we had made they really are fantastic!
